Recently refurbished and ideal hotel in an easy position within walking distance of everything.

Independent hotel in a very very nice area not far from a friendly pub as well as main shopping area. King room with a stylish bathroom, shower, all facilities included. Comfortable central location, 15 minutes' walk to Suffolk Regiment Museum...

It was in a handy location with kind staff.

The rooms were airy and cosy with comfortable bed, everything was great. The hotel was placed in the central location away from the main shops. It was also near Abbey gardens as well as bus station.

The staff was hospitable & pleasant.

It was just an appropriate option for shopping in Bury St Edmunds with great value for the money. The staff were very pleasant, making me feel welcome . For a quieter experience, try to avoid the rooms near the bar.

We explored the fine cathedral and enjoyed live music at a local venue nearby. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast spread was solid. The place has a cozy vibe, and the comfortable beds. Definitely coming back for another visit!

We did encounter a steep staircase, a bit tricky for our luggage. But once we got used to it, it wasn't a major issue.

Just a five-minute stroll to the main street. Free parking right at the back is a bonus, ensuring you don't have to hunt for a spot.

The rooms in the stable block by the car park can be noisy, with sounds from nearby beer deliveries and general pub activities. The lack of privacy due to incomplete curtain coverage could be an issue for those wanting a more secluded stay. Several maintenance issues stood out, from broken bedside lamps to moldy bathrooms. It's also worth noting that the breakfast options were limited, with items like orange juice running out quickly and not being replenished promptly.

After a good stay last december, i booked again n it was just as great! Parking was easy n check in/out was super quick. They even provided us with an ac unit for the warm weather, cool! Our room was spacious n we had a comfy night sleep.

the only downside was that the dining options could've been better n we had some noisy guests in the pub area.

My recent stay was lovely. The full English breakfast was superb, and the delicious brioche sausage bun really hit the spot! Plus, the walk-in shower was a nice touch after a long day.

Cool stay with tasty food

The staff were super friendly from the get-go. Our room was comfy enough. The spot is just perfect for hitting the town. We even got a table at the bar without a reservation, and the food was yum. A bit noisy at night though, couldn't really catch a break.

Great location near cafes, but Wi-Fi was spotty .

Would recommend for a brief visit

Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, with a very clean and tidy atmosphere, the staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and conveniently located close to the city center, just a short walk away.

We loved the trendy outside patio, spacious room, and the unique double shower! Plus, the location was great. Our experience was like home, and we can't wait to return! It's the best stay we've ever had away from home.
